Religion

In religion we will explain the role of prayer in our lives and interpret the significance of symbol, ritual and the sacred in relation to prayer experiences.

 

Literacy

Reading

This term in Reading we are focusing on applying comprehension strategies to achieve a deeper understanding of texts.

Writing

In writing we are focusing on the structure of Narratives and Autobiographies. 

 

Speaking and listening

We are developing an understanding that social interactions influence the way people engage with and respond to others. Eg: sharing responses and expressing a point of view

Maths

This term in maths we will be exploring a range of mathematical concepts including:

 

Number and Algebra

  • Addition and subtraction
  • Counting and place value patterns 
  • Multiplication and Division 

Measurement and Geometry 

  • 3D shapes 
  • Angles 
  • Mass,  Volume and Capacity

Inquiry

In Inquiry, we will explore the changes over time and how those changes affect our lives. Students will consider changes in their community as they explore historic buildings in the local area

Wellbeing

This term we are using the Resilience Project to build our understanding of gratitude, emotional literacy, empathy and mindfulness.
