As we wrap up the term and head towards our winter school holidays it is a good opportunity for us to reflect on all our hard work and efforts over the past couple of months. The staff and students have had such a busy time with NAPLAN, Attitudes to School Survey, Multicultural Week, Cross Country, finishing off all their assessments from semester one and finally exams. It’s no wonder we are all looking forward to spending some time at home relaxing over the holidays.
Our year 8's will be spending the last day of term two at a day camp near Bacchus Marsh, and we are hoping to organise a city experience excursion for the year 9's in term three.
Our Wellbeing team expanded this term and we are very pleased to announce the addition of a Mental Health Practitioner Natasha Napiza. We also have employed visiting psychologists who are at school twice a week and are further supporting our students. Should you think your child may need additional supports at school please contact your child’s tutor teacher for advice. Alternatively you can directly call our Student Services line and discuss your concerns with someone there.
We wish you all an enjoyable break with your children over the next two weeks and will see them all back on Monday July 10.

Year 8 Report
Year 8’s completed their exams on 6th & 7th June and had revision sessions before their exams and they did well under pressure. Exams are important as they provide an opportunity for the students to remember and recollect their learning for Semester 1.
The Year 8 Amazing Race excursion to Lady Northcote Adventure camp in Glenmore will be held on Friday, last day of term. Students will face challenges and experience many great activities such as the high ropes course and flying fox. Thank you to Victoria Webster for her work in organising this excursion. Victoria will take over as the Year 7 Year Level Leader at the start of Term 3 and the Year 8 team wish her all the best in Year 7 and we are sure that she will continue to show the values of care, empathy, commitment and dedication in her new role.
As part of our Pathways unit, Year 8 students had the opportunity to participate in an “I Discover” Jobs Expo lesson. Students were able to hear from and ask questions from a variety of presenters from different industries including the AFL, fashion industry, trades, health, train drivers, universities and many more. The students had an informative and engaging day with many conversations about their future careers and pathways ensuing.
Best wishes and have a safe and restful school holidays.

The end of the semester one was a busy time for our Year 9's!
During the week of June 5th - 8th, our students completed the semester one exams. It was great to see the students embrace the challenge of exam week and display the college values through the process.
As we enter Semester 2, all students are excited by the new opportunities that are available to them. Students have started the Careers unit, where they explore their interests through Morrisby testing, and a select group of students are off to the city on a Careers Inspiration excursion with the Smith Family. A big Congratulations to our students of the week of the last month, who continue to uphold our values each and every week:

We are looking forward to Term 3 and continue to grow, as we embark on the final semester before senior school in 2024.
