Principal's Report

Dear Families,

As we come to the end of another term, I want to take a moment to congratulate all our students and staff on a great start to the year. Your hard work, dedication, and commitment to learning have been impressive, and we are all very proud of what you have achieved so far.

STAFFING

As families are aware, Mrs Thorn will finish at the end of Term 1 in preparation for the arrival of twins. We certainly wish her and Alex well and can’t wait for the special news of the babies arrival. I’m sure they will make doting parents.

We are very pleased to announce that Carly Tuhan and Kelly Hines will be sharing the role of the Grade 1 / 2 class. Amee, Carly and Kelly plan to meet over the holidays and do a hand over.

JSC EASTER RAFFLE

A huge thank to all the families who donated towards our Easter Raffle and those who purchased tickets. We were able to raise over $1000 which is fantastic. We have donated $400 towards the Good Friday Appeal which is a well respected charity that supports children and families in need.

HAMBURGER DAY

The P & F Hamburger Day was a great success. Students certainly enjoyed having something different for lunch and I know families enjoy a break from lunch preparation. Thank you to those parents who came along to help on the day. It was greatly appreciated. Proceeds from the have been put towards the purchase of three document cameras. Document Cameras are a powerful tool in the classroom, allowing teachers and students to project and share images and documents and other visual aids.

Hopefully they will arrive just in time tor Term 2 lessons.

EASTER BREAK

As we head into the Easter holidays, I want to encourage families and staff to take some well-deserved time off to relax, recharge, and spend time with your family and friends. Whether you plan to go away or stay at home, I hope that you will use this time to feel refreshed and energized for the term ahead.

When we return to school after the holidays, we will be ready to hit the ground running with renewed enthusiasm and focus. There will be plenty of exciting opportunities to look forward to in Term 2.

I wish you a happy and restful Easter break.

Regards Heather
