Indonesian

On Tuesday 28 March my classmates and I, my classroom teacher (Ibu Veronika), and a class of Year 10 students with their teacher(Ibu Trina) went on an amazing excursion to the city. We all traveled on bus to the ACMI to watch the film, ‘Susah Sinyal’ which is a beautifully directed film based on the growing and complicated relationship between a busy lawyer mother and an uprising singer daughter who enters a singing competition to show off her talent as well as hilarious humor. We also got to witness a traditional dance by traditional indonesian performers showing their heritage. After the film we traveled to an indonesian restaurant by the name, ‘Pondok Rempah’; where we got to experience authentic Indonesian cuisine. The food was delicious and the overall atmosphere was filled with happiness and satisfaction. Everyone had a smile on their face and loved the food. After we ate we made one last stop to the Queen Victorian Market where we were given the chance to roam and purchase items to our liking as a way to finally end the excursion. Overall the day was magnificent and breathtaking; I hope that future students at Marian College who are learning the Indonesian language get to experience this spectacular day and reflect on the beautiful culture of Indonesia. d I would like to extend my gratitude towards the teachers and the school for giving us the opportunity of a lifetime.
