Uniform and School Expectations
This a reminder that students need to be wearing the school winter uniform to school including the College blazer and hat. Students are also reminded that items of uniform are not interchangeable and they need to be wearing the specific items of the Winter uniform and the sports uniform when required.
Thank you again for your ongoing support. Please reach out if you have any wellbeing concerns.

Dear Year 8 Parents,
I hope this letter finds you well and that your family had a wonderful Easter break over the school holidays.
Term 2 is an exciting time at Brigidine College Randwick as our students continue to grow and develop both academically and personally. This term will bring new challenges and opportunities for our Year 8 students and I am confident that they will rise to the occasion and achieve great things.
As we enter the new term and we welcome back our winter uniform, I would like to remind you of our school's uniform policies and guidelines that have been standard practice for the winter terms.
At our school, we believe that a uniform policy promotes a sense of pride and unity among our students. Uniforms also help to create a safe and inclusive environment for all. As such, we request that all students come to school dressed in the designated uniform every day.
However, I have noticed that some students have been disregarding our uniform policy and have come to school with excessive makeup, false eyelashes and mixing uniforms together (Sports and regular uniform) or without key pieces of the uniform.
While we understand that self-expression is important for our students, it is important to remember that our school is a professional learning environment. Therefore, we kindly request that students refrain from wearing false eyelashes and excessive makeup to school.
We also ask that students wear their blazers to and from school and make sure they are not mixing the formal and sports uniforms, which is in line with the school's uniform policy. Please refer to the below diagrams of what is expected for each uniform.
I would appreciate your cooperation in enforcing our uniform policies and guidelines to create a strong home and school partnership.

Wednesday and Friday.

Students will have information about this throughout their English lessons. If you have any
questions about this, please don't hesitate to contact the college.
Student Reflection:
Term 1 has flown by with the Swimming Carnival, Open Day and NAPLAN, but Year 9 is ready for Term 2. In Term 1, the Year 9 homerooms were set on a task to see who could raise the most money for charity by the end of the semester. Winifred held a raffle for the starlight foundation and Regina Mundi will soon be holding a bake sale to raise money as well.
NAPLAN was a key event in Term 1 as it was the last one we would ever do, which got a lot of students excited.
Open day was also an exciting day on the calendar when some Year 9 students volunteered their time to show off our beautiful school.
As for this term, I think I speak for everyone when I say that the athletics carnival was the highlight of this term. We have some exciting gala days coming up.
Year 9 is going to be competing in chess, table tennis and the dance gala days. Overall the year has just begun and so much is already happening and I can't wait for all the exciting things to come.

Hi and welcome to Term 2.
As we start the term I would like to give you an update on our recent trip to Canberra, a reminder regarding the College uniform.
Canberra Study Tour
Recently Year 10 returned from their Study Tour to Canberra. We had a great time exploring some of Canberra’s most significant cultural and historical institutions. Visiting Parliament House, the National Museum, the National Art Gallery, Australia War Memorial to name a few, offer unique insights into different aspects of Australia’s history and culture. Exploring these institutions with Year 10 was a rewarding and enriching experience and I know the girls got a lot from this experience.
Wearing the College Uniform
I sent an email reminder today regarding our uniform. Following the College uniform policies and guidelines is an essential part of maintaining a positive and disciplined learning environment. School uniforms have been shown to promote a sense of belonging, unity and pride among students and they can also help to reduce social and economic disparities among students. The wearing of the uniform to school helps to create a professional and respectful image of the school and fosters a sense of community and belonging among students. Additionally, it helps to reduce distractions that can arise which can interfere with the learning process. I would encourage all students to comply with their school’s uniform policy, as this will help to create a safe and inclusive environment for everyone to learn and thrive.
Regards,
Tony Munguia

Term 2 has started and Year 11 has hit the ground running. Firstly, a gentle reminder about uniform requirements. Senior Students are required to wear their College Blazers both to and from school and must always leave the school grounds with a college bag. Earrings can only be worn on the earlobe and no more than 1 stud or small ringlet can be worn. Lastly, the College Kilt has to rest at the top of the knee and if this is not the case girls will be asked to either ‘roll’ it down or drop the hem of their kilt. I greatly appreciate the ongoing support of the college’s uniform policy by the majority of parents and guardians.
A great number of Year 11 students need to be commended for their selection in the College’s representative soccer and netball teams who began the Winter Conference last Thursday. Good luck this term girls. There will be other opportunities to represent the college in Term 3 and I strongly encourage all Year 11 students to try out for the various sports now offered in the College’s representative sports program.

Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you had a restful and peaceful Easter whereby there was time to reflect, rest and re-energize both the soul, mind and body.
Term Two has begun with great determination and diligence from our Yr 12 cohort. With the most recent completion of the Mid Term Assessment period, Year 12 has achieved yet another milestone in their academic journey and now looks towards the consolidation of their knowledge.
As a Year 12 community, our students have really impressed their teachers in the manner that they have engaged with the completion of each task and furthermore have navigated through the many challenges that are part of everyday life. This term, Year 12 need to take the opportunity to capitalise on their efforts by responding meaningfully to feedback which in turn will consolidate their skills and understanding. I encourage Year 12 to reflect carefully on their performance in each task, to turn feedback into practical strategies for long-term self-improvement and use past tasks as a point of reference in order to guide and inform their future performance. Throughout this process, Year 12 are encouraged to maintain a growth mindset and to continue to work towards their personal best and their potential rather than trying to be the best and comparing themselves with their peers. I also would like to stress the importance of a sound balance between study, well-being and sporting commitments.
I wish every Year 12 student every success and happiness for this term ahead.
