Do all that you do with love ~

Dear Parents and Friends of St Therese's Primary School,

Welcome back! I have a feeling that if the last two weeks are anything to go by, this term is going to fly by.

Last Wednesday, the staff joined with the staff of St Agatha's and St Thomas the Apostle for a professional learning day. Our focus was Learning Diversity and began with a wonderful keynote speaker sharing information regarding brain function and wellbeing. The staff then had an opportunity to choose their own professional learning with a wide range of workshops on offer. The day was a great success and we look forward to sharing many more professional learning opportunities as a cluster.

Alleluia Day was a great way to start the term with the children, the staff and students enjoyed the opportunity to work in different groups and celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus. Our ANZAC Liturgy, with beautiful prayers led by our grade 3 students, was also a special ceremony. Our students showed such reverence, they really do us proud!

Winter Uniform Reminder

Just a friendly reminder that the students should be in winter uniform now. Winter uniform consists of the following:

Navy/Royal winter check tunic or navy pants, navy/royal winter check skirt (middles & seniors), white or maroon long or short sleeve polo, dark maroon bomber jacket or windcheater, navy long socks or navy tights, black shoes

or

Navy shorts or long navy trousers, white long or short sleeve polo, dark maroon windcheater or bomber jacket, navy socks, black shoes.

Black runners may be worn in place of black shoes but these must be plain black, leather runners that can be polished. No mesh runners or runners with other colours to be worn.

Walk to School

Walk Safely to School Day is fast approaching and it is quite timely given our current situation regarding our crossing being unsupervised. Please read the flyer below and keep an eye out for further details as to how your family can participate!

A prayerful moment

At this time of unrest in Sudan, could I please ask that you keep our Sudanese families in your prayers. Many have family members in Sudan and will no doubt be concerned for their safety.
