Community Engagement Programs

Term 2, has commenced successfully with many of the student engagement programs resuming with students engaging positively. Over the last school holiday, our students had the opportunity to attend holiday programs where they connected with peers from other schools and with mentors, including professional athletes and coaches.

Our partnership with Melbourne Victory FC continues with students attending the soccer program on Wednesdays. In the last 2 weeks we were lucky to have had a visit from two Melbourne Victory A League players.

Video Games and Activation Space

This term, Video Games and Activation Club has seen an increase in the number of our students who utilised the space to connect and interact socially with their peers while engaging in activities of their choice, such as FIFA Soccer games, foosball table, board games, UNO and Karaoke. There has been substantial growth in the number of students enjoying a Karaoke singing along with their peers at their recess and lunchtime break.

Afterschool Girls’ Basketball Program

We are very excited to be launching a girls’ basketball program on 17 May. The program will compliment with the Morning Basketball Program which is normally well attended predominantly by the boys.  The program will be running alongside the Melbourne Victory FC afterschool program, and the African Student Club.
