What is your new role at BHCS and what are you excited about this year?

I'm a Learning Assistant and I'm normally found in the amazing Prep CA. I'm really excited about the opportunity to be in the classroom, to see the students learn and to help them realise their potential.

What did you do previously?

Previously I was a full time uni student studying towards an education degree, which I am now continuing to work on part time.

What do you like to do for fun?

Books, all the books!!!

I'm a rather prodigious bookworm and I love to sit down with a new book to read and completely lose track of time. Though I am running out of room to keep them all.

This year I teach Year 8 and 9 maths. I'm really enjoying the opportunity to work with amazing people, both staff and students, and to top it off, I love teaching maths!

What did you do previously?

Before starting at BHCS I got to enjoy being at home with my three daughters while they were little, and before that I was a maths teacher at another school.

What do you like to do for fun?

So many things! I enjoy gardening, particularly growing fruit and vegetables. I love playing netball, going for a run and just staying active in general. But I also love to bake, read, play my guitar, and spend time with my family, especially camping. To put it simply, I appreciate the simple things and try to find fun in as many areas in life as possible.
