This Week's Updates

Dear Families,

I hope you had the opportunity to read the email I sent out last Friday afternoon announcing Carmel Foster's decision to retire from St James at the end of this year.

We will provide an opportunity for families to farewell Carmel later in Term Four.

The completion rate of the MACSSIS surveys has slowed right down. PLEASE take the 15 minutes to complete the survey which provides us with parents' thoughts and perceptions of our St James community.

Our Year Six girls netball team played so well in last Friday's state championships. As I said last Friday, while they did not make the Grand final, I believe they were the third best team on the day which equates to the third best team in the state! Thanks to Jen Eslick who put in additional time to train and coach the team.

Last week we had many individual athletes and a few relay teams progress from the district to the division athletics championships.

We also had the Year Six boys basketball team progress to the next stage of the Hooptime competition.

Last Friday's Footy Day was a great success with many codes being represented.

Congratulations to our Students of the Week - 9/9/22.

Girls who accepted the invitation to audition for the Australian Girls' Choir enjoyed the singing and dancing this afternoon. Their parents will receive a report and feedback soon.

A reminder that this Friday is our additional school closure day for the term. Camp Australia is still taking bookings for families who require this service.

Learning Conferences this Tuesday and Wednesday provide a great opportunity for a three way discussion about your child's learning this term. We have roughly 50/50 online and in person. Please remember that there is a 10 minute time slot allocated to each conference which means a 9 minute conversation and one minute to change over/log the next family in. Wednesday evening will be held in the Reynolds Community Centre.
