Father’s Day

Last Friday provided time for the St Pius X College community to gather and thank all of the male role models in our lives – from fathers and grandfathers, to uncles and older brothers. As a community we celebrated a liturgy calling to mind the modelling of St Joseph and the part that positive male role modelling plays in our lives. We were blessed to have Fr David lead our liturgy, along with members of the Student Leadership Team. College Vice-Captain Ben Cullen provided a reflection from a student’s perspective on the role that fathers play in the lives of the young men of SPX. Max Lenten of Year 10 provided the musical accompaniment that added to the solemnity of the occasion. No gathering for Father’s Day would have been complete without concluding with the College Song! Many thanks also to the Parents and Friends who provided the BBQ breakfast following the liturgy.

Youth Mass

Last Saturday afternoon, St Pius X College hosted the Youth Mass at Our Lady of Dolours Church. Students provided various ministries: reading, Ministers of the Eucharist and music. Special thanks go to Mr Ryan Balboa for his work, along with the Performing Arts Department for providing music at the celebration.

Chapel Mass

On Monday we will celebrate our next Chapel Mass. Mass commences at 8.00 am in the College Chapel, all are welcome.
