Year 9 News

Vermont Secondary College

Well done on a fantastic Term 3 to the Year 9s. It was a busy term for all as we prepare for Year 10 and VCE.

Thanks to everyone for completing the Morrisby online assessments. Not everyone has had their careers interviews yet, but hopefully it has opened some points of discussion at home.

A big thank you to our brilliant Year 9 leaders for revitalising the Wednesday lunchtime sports tradition. We’ve had dodgeball, basketball and multiple soccer games, none of which would be possible without your leadership and willingness to organise the events.

A big thank you to Ben Lu, who acts as our referee for these events. Ben ensures all students are playing within the rules of the game and is not shy to show someone the yellow card for any misdemeanours.

Lastly, the Year 9 garden is undergoing some TLC in preparation for the spring and summer crop. Thank you to all students who helped out during the week with the Working Bee – the space is ready to go when we return for Term 4.

If any Year 9 families have any ‘extras’ growing in their gardens that they would like to donate, anything would be greatly appreciated.

Enjoy the Term 3 holidays. A big Term 4 coming up!

Thank you,

Your Year 9 Student Managers
