Prep - 2 Community

Hello P-2 Families! It's hard to believe we are nearly finished Term 3! It has been a fantastic term filled with lots of learning and student growth.

Book Week

It was so great to see so many students dressing up from their favorite books last week! We had a wide variety of characters and the students loved sharing which book their character came from. Throughout the week we read lots of the books nominated for picture book of the year. A big thank you for all the effort you put into getting your children dressed up!

Werribee Zoo

Over the past few weeks all the Prep students attended an excursion to Werribee Zoo! Students were so excited to go and see all the different animals they have been learning about throughout this term. A major highlight would have definitely been the Safari bus. Students got up close with Giraffes, Zebras and Rhinos. While at the zoo, students also participated in the ‘Habitat Heros’ program. Students explored the Habitat Haven using their senses and participated in the open-ended play-based activities and learnt about how living things grow, change and survive in nature. 

Inquiry Projects

Students have been very busy working away on their inquiry projects. In the last week of Term parents and carers have come into the classroom to see the amazing things students have made! The preps have been working on animal dioramas and their habitats while the 1/2 students have also been busy working away on their simple machines. It was terrific to see families back in the College.
