LUNCHTIME CLUBS 2021 REPORT

Following the amazing response to the Lunchtime Activities Expo in early February, lunchtimes at Reservoir High are buzzing with energy and excitement.

So what do the students of RHS get up to every lunchtime this year?

For starters, our week gets off to a rollicking start on Monday's with Ms Rogneda (Badminton) providing a range of games for sporty types. Ms Selemidis provides a space for those eager to tune out of the various worries of the world in the serene bubble of the Yoga Club. Mr Lyras continues to live his dream of running his very own “Cinema Paradiso” (otherwise known as the PAC) full of patrons eager to watch his personally curated festival of amazing movies in the Film Club. Mr McNeil rounds off the day's programme with the cutting edge Reservoir Coding/TV Club.

Tuesday's feature a change of pace, with Ms D’Ortenzio’s slick Dance Team giving wannabe hoofers a chance to strut their stuff, Ms Farrugia's Book Club provides an ideal environment in which to explore the joys thumbing through a favourite paperback , while exotic Chinese Crafts are explored with Ms Liao. Mr Forbes exudes power and potency as head of the Weights & Fitness Club.

On Wednesday, get involved in serious team sports with Mr Simmonds in Volleyball Club. Aspiring strategists can test their cerebral manoeuvering skills with Ms Barker and student leader Nikita Vavilov in Chess Club, or get the chance to impress Mr Irvin with their green thumbs in his Enviro/Gardening Club.

On Thursday, devotees of the mythical world of Dungeons and Dragons engage in earnest weekly combat in the Tabletop Gaming Club, conceived by student Oscar Edwards and run in 2021 by fellow student Seth Dixon, with help from Mr Lyras. We also find extraordinarily creative visual expression in Ms Sarroff’s eclectic and stylish Art Club. Mr Price is responsible for the creation of a safe, welcoming space with the RAH! Club.

Friday is LOADED!!!

The week is rounded off with Rachael Farmer and Matt’s longstanding (and perenially popular) Board Games Club. Ms Law introduces students to the high-tech intricacies of the Design Technology Club. Test the limits of physical endurance with Mr Vass in the Track/Running Club! Finally, our tag team of skilled artisans (Ms Pizzy, Ms Scott and Ms Duhandzija) impart their impeccable knowledge to wonderstruck members of the Crafts Club. Mr Devine exudes power and elegance on the court as head of the Tennis Club, while Ms Gray is in charge of the Netball Club.  Test the limits of physical endurance with Mr Vass in the Track/Running Club, and get a repeat dose of the Weights and Fitness Club with the indefatigable Mr Forbes!
