“Magical Musical Moments”
What a busy few months we’ve had rehearsing for our Production! This year we are paying tribute to the worlds great musicals with an original script that weaves across such diverse themes as Aladdin and Mamma Mia! Our Cast of nearly 70 students have been busy with lighting, staging, acting, singing, dancing and much more.
I am particularly pleased to see everybody supporting each other through our long rehearsals. A lot goes on behind the scenes of a Production. For a sneak preview of what we’ve been doing have a look at our video using the QR code. (You can also access it on STREAM using the keyword: rhsproduction )
A big thanks once again goes to our dedicated students, teachers, parents and guardians. There continues to be a lot of smiles, laughing and people enjoying the Performing Arts!!

The production continues to draw nearer, meaning that the preparations for the event have an even higher level of importance. Even during multiple lock downs, we still continued to work just as hard and continued developing the show. Everyone participating in the production prepares in a way different to other, some memorising lines for acting, others working on light showcases. The outcome of this event it sure to be worth all the effort the cast and crew is putting into it. After months of practise, the production is truly coming together. Behind the scenes, you can really see what goes into performing a showcase, and how a show like the productions needs commitment. Over many months, those involved have sacrificed a lot to make sure that they attend every rehearsal, as well as making time to practise at home. In the coming weeks, which are leading up to the production, preparations are becoming more dedicated than ever before. We are having full day rehearsals for multiple different parts of the show, such as dance and acting. Everyone who is performing this staging wants to perform to a memorable extent and we hope to achieve that, as the production brings RHS together.
Last term the music department put on a “Digital Music Evening” that was streamed live. There were vocal ensembles, a 25 piece guitar ensemble, violin ensembles and a range of solo performances. The evening showcased 45 minutes of pure talent from our students. It was a big effort from everyone and I am proud of what we all achieved!
