Product Design
Students have commenced their Product Design studies in Year 7 and Year 8 by designing toasters. These were miniatures developed from concept ideas and then taken into CAD software and then 3D printed.
The second design challenge underway is to design and produce a working USB stick for people with limited motor coordination in their fingers, such as people with arthritis or Parkinson's Disease. Students have been researching the problems these people face and have been designing a solution. These designs will be 3D printed and later be assessed by Arthritis Australia in a trial, to provide feedback to our students.
