Eucalyptus House
Term 2 was very much a mixed one for students and staff in Eucalyptus House. We saw Year 11 and 12 students return to on-site learning in the last few weeks of term and our junior students continued to learn off site for a longer period.
We are extremely proud of the students for their determination and perseverance during challenging times.
Supportive staff ensured students engaged with their learning and were provided opportunities to demonstrate individual and team achievements. Our house Student Leaders continue to be challenged and have exhibited leadership potential.
A highlight of the term was the opportunity for each Year 12 student to meet with me to discuss progress and reflect on the year so far.
We saw students represented at various co-curricular activities, incursions and excursions throughout the term. The Athletics Carnival was highly successful, with Eucalyptus finishing in fourth place. There were a number of outstanding performances on the day and the following students finished first, second or third:

John E broke the U20 boys' record for both shotput and discuss. We are proud of John and look forward to seeing him progress to District Althletics. We congratulate all our students for their participation and sportsmanship.
The Eucalyptus community farewelled Mr Pruysers, who has taken on a position at another school for the remainder of this year, and welcomed Mr Kafrouni, a Physical Education and Health teacher.
As we near the end of another term, I would like to acknowledge the continued commitment of staff in Eucalyptus House and for the support I receive from my Leadership Team. Thank you also to the parents who have contacted the House Leadership team about their child. Enjoy a restful break and I look forward to what awaits us next term.
