Callistemon House

Term 2 has been a whirlwind of learning opportunities and experiences that our Callistemon students have taken on with energy and enthusiasm.

Highlights so far have been our fabulous SRC team and their outstanding fundraising events that have been held weekly throughout the term, and winning the Athletics Carnival.

We thank Mostafa H, Blessy P, Lahib L, Bella S, Muhammad T, Sabeera A, Rayan A and Mustafa S and the other students who have generously given up their time to support our fundraising and the House.

To all competitors and those students that supported the Athletics Carnival, we are so proud of everyone’s efforts in winning on the day. A big thanks to our House Captains who rallied students to work together and compete. Also to the teachers, especially Mr Beattie, Mr Pinto, Mrs Elliot, Ms Hickman, Mr White and Mr Giang.

Finally, I would like to thank all Callistemon students and our teachers for the incredible effort that they have made through another uncertain time over the past 2 weeks. Again, everyone has shown resilience and a focus on their learning, whilst also ensuring connection and engagement with our students and families.

Teachers continued with a focus on student wellbeing and engagement, using different programs and ideas to encourage and support students who have been learning from home. Our Student Leaders have supported and enabled a strong connection across the House. They have provided an opportunity for all students to have a voice and provide feedback to each other and to their teachers.

I thank everyone and look forward to the end of term where we are all back onsite, learning together.
