ROOM 21
Room 21 have been busy getting to know each other and getting excited about all the programs the Secondary Sub School has to offer. We have started to learn all about waste and recycling in both JSA and the wider Victorian community. Room 21 has enthusiastically taken on the great responsibility of running the recycling program at JSA. We have started discussions around different ways that we could improve our recycling practices to help play our part in reducing waste in Victoria. We are looking forward to a great year ahead!
Secondary Sub School News
Our Hands on Learning Build program has been a great success this year. We have had 10 students working together to create a sign to display out the front of the work shed.
Our Hands on Learning Artisan Teacher, Robert Ball, has been supporting students to use saws, clamps, vices and hammers to create the signage.
Our ES staff, Sally McKerchar, Simone Gravina and Karen Glare, have been supporting students to work as a team, look after property, practice OHS procedures and take pride in their work. Over the coming weeks the team will be working on some larger projects which will benefit the school community, including building some new benches for parents to access at pick up and drop off times.
