LIBRARY

We have enjoyed another busy fortnight in the Library with return visits from many classes in the Junior School. Students have taken the opportunity to let the Library staff know about the books they enjoy reading (and wish to borrow) and we have been able to enhance our collection to meet this need.

We were pleased to see the excitement of the children, as they found books that appealed to them, and settled into the Library space to begin reading. Mrs Heffer also entertained us, and the Years 3 and 4 classes, with an expressive reading of Pig the Pug.

A number of Junior School students have also taken the opportunity to visit the Library during some of their break times. We have enjoyed the presence of our regular visitors who have come in to play chess or checkers, and to read or draw. Our youngest students were even able to connect with members of the Senior School Chess Club on Thursday to display their expertise and enthusiasm for the game.

Senior School students have continued to impress with their focus on their studies in the Library. This week we have been able to assist both individual students and classes with specific questions or requirements, related to research and referencing. I encourage all students to approach the Library staff if they require assistance with any information needs and in utilising the Library’s resources. We are here to help!
