Year 12 Geography Fieldtrip – Stockton Sand Dunes
On Monday 8th – Tuesday 9th of February, Year 12 Geography students travelled up north to Stockton Sand Dunes as part of their study of Ecosystems at Risk. They learnt about various natural stresses and human activities which threaten the dune system, as well as strategies implemented to minimise impacts and maintain the functioning of the ecosystem.
The students are to be commended for their positive attitudes, their engagement in all learning activities and the manner in which they represented the School.
Getting outside into the environment itself is such an important part of studying Geography and the students embraced every aspect of the experience!
I extend a big thank you to Ms Jacqueline Haines for driving the bus and assisting me on the trip!
