Mid Year Awards
The impact of COVID-19 and remote learning means that the presentation of awards in 2020 has looked different from previous years. In addition to our usual academic excellence awards, the college has also sought nominations from parents who have recognised excellence in their own children. Thank you to those who submitted nominations – it was very heart-warming to read about the wonderful and varied ways our students have kept their minds, hand and bodies active in recent months. I am delighted that we have been able to recognise excellence in individuals who have found a way to thrive in these unprecedented times.
Over the past week students have met in virtual year level assemblies to publically recognise the students who have received awards. Students will also receive a hard copy of their certificate in the mail.
Awards are presented in one of two categories:
- Academic Excellence awards will recognise outstanding academic achievement across the breadth and depth of the curriculum. Award winners have been nominated by their teachers.
- Endeavour Awards acknowledge excellence in the fields of family, sport, special interests, and community service during remote learning. Award winners have been nominated by their carers/parents
