CHOIR
Last Wednesday, the MPS Choir participated in an excursion where they performed for the residents of two aged care facilities in our local community. The choir had prepared a dozen songs including traditional Christmas carols, alongside some other contemporary melodies. The residents appreciated the youthful enthusiasm shown by our choir members.
Thank you to Mrs Trotter for accompanying us.

FOOD FOR FAMILIES APPEAL- ends Friday 16 December
Thank you very much to all the wonderful people who have made generous donations of non-perishable food and
toiletries items for our Food For Families Appeal.
This year we have managed to fill 20 boxes full of good quality products that will be much appreciated by many Victorian families around our state who are at risk of homelessness this Christmas.
We wish to thank Petra Wood, mother of Erin McGinniss in Grade 6, for initiating this program some 10 years ago. We will continue to participate in supporting the Wesley Mission’s Food For Families here at MPS.
If you still wish to donate any products, you will need to hurry as the Food For Families boxes will be getting picked up this
FRIDAY 16 DECEMBER.
The boxes are located in the foyer near the office.
Merry Christmas everyone!

LADIES MARKET NIGHT
Thank you to all those who came and supported the 2016 Ladies Festive Night Market. The market is a great opportunity to come together and support the school, as well as each other, in a community spirited event. As well, there is the practical side that you can shop and socialize at the same time!!
Whilst our numbers were not as high as we had hoped (we do acknowledge the torrential rain burst didn't help), the hall looked alive with a range of unique and quality wares available for purchase and the stalls' presentations were colourful and festive.
Please consider attending next year's event as we are reliant on the school community's participation to make events like these viable. Your involvement is invaluable, whether it be time and/or shopping dollars, which add to the atmosphere and success of the night.
Lisa and I would like to thank the following stalls holders / local new business owners who made themselves available to join in our market night. These are a very talented and passionate group of local residents and/or Murrumbeena school families who participated with enthusiasm and professionalism. We thank them for their time & effort, and ask that you support them beyond our market, within the wider community.

We also offer thanks to the school office and the maintenance staff who helped facilitate the event with us; we appreciate your assistance & availability. Mark, in particular, supported the event with the set up and then returned later to assist with the packing away. He also assisted with every other last minute job we threw at him. We really appreciate your unwavering support and muscle Mark !!
