From the Assistant Principal

THE BIG WRITE
Each fortnight, classes across the school have been involved in a ‘Big Write’.
This is an uninterrupted sustained writing time in the classroom.
In order to prepare for the writing, students are given the topic a few days beforehand and are asked to speak with their families at home in order to gain some ideas.
In Year 3 last week, the students had the opportunity to write about anything they wanted.
We’d like to share with you a wonderful poem written by Remy during the Big Write.
LUNCHTIME ACTIVITIES: TALENT SHOW
During lunchtime, students have raced to the hall to practise singing, dancing, joke telling, cartwheeling and a range of other talents.
Some children have come along to simply have fun creating with their friends, while others are practising to perform their acts in a casual low key lunch time talent show.
Students who want to perform in front of a crowd have registered their act and will be performing either on Wednesday or Thursday during lunchtime.
Other students from across the school are invited to come to the hall to watch the show during the lunch break.
BOLT- ‘Bikes Over Lunch Time'
One of our wonderful parents, has been running a Friday lunch time bike maintenance program.
If your child hasn’t managed to attend before, but would still like see what it’s all about, they are more than welcome to come along with their bike and helmet this Friday.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Andrew Barta for giving his time and for sharing his enthusiasm for bikes and cycling with the children.
Don’t forget your bike and helmet if you would like to attend this Friday at 1:00pm.
