Farewell Mrs Krongold

FAREWELL MURRUMBEENA

Each year, the Grade 6 students sing a farewell song at their graduation entitled, ‘It’s Been a Long Time at Murrumbeena’. For me, it has been 27 enjoyable years!

I started my career in 1978 and came to MPS in 1988. At this time, there was no school hall, the swimming pool was an outdoor pool, the staffroom was where Mr Pollock’s room (20) is, and we had classrooms in the top towers. Monday morning assembly was outside in a quadrangle where the IRC is now, and there were 320 students (12 grades). I was a classroom and library teacher for 14 years before moving to Ormond PS in 2002 and returning to MPS as the Assistant Principal in 2004.

I have had a wonderful career educating many students, working with many fabulous people and building many positive relationships. MPS has been a huge part of my life. I will miss it, but I am excited about exploring the future at a slower pace and pursuing other interests.

Thank you to the MPS community, both past and present, for your friendship, support, the fun times and contributing to making my life so fulfilling.
