 The Arts  remote learning

The Year 7 students were very busy last Semester completing an  array of artworks by remote learning.

They adapted their skills, became very creative, flexible and independent learners creating and producing some amazing pieces of artworks with equipment and supplies from around their homes.

Students in Year 7 worked on :

The Artist Inspired Task- students learnt about the Arts Elements and viewed a power point on specific Australian artists. They chose an artist who  inspired them and researched the life and times of the artist, learning about historical and cultural context, materials and techniques, subject matter, style, ideas, meanings and influences. From here they brainstormed, experimented and created amazing artworks. Please view the attached pdf of 7E Art students.

Sea Creatures Task

Students completed a pre-entry task and moved straight into the research, experimentation and creation of an artwork based on ‘sea creatures’. Students were required to use any materials they could find from home to complete this task focusing their subject matter on the ‘sea’.

Some amazingly, creative artworks have been presented.

Thank you to Hanna Imran and Lara Harrison for presenting their Art Digital Visual Diaries in the making of their artworks:

Well done to all students for their creative art works and the Arts staff for facilitating remote teaching of the Arts.

Year 11 Visual Communication Design

Students in Year 11 have been exploring how to manipulate and apply the design elements and principles to create a series of 8  fantastic label ideas for Emma & Tom's juice company.

See their designs in the Senior Centre and the video below.

Excellence in Arts awards

Due to the impact of the Coronavirus the following Arts subjects cannot be viewed live at the various galleries and theatres in and around Melbourne. They have provided links so you can view the works virtually and have the opportunity to meet the artists and designers. This is a great opportunity to see what the top Year 12 Arts students around the state produce as final pieces of their work in Art, Studio Arts, Media, Drama and Visual Communication.

Please view the sites via the links below if you are thinking of choosing an Arts subject for 2021 and beyond!
