Year 10 News

Melbourne Experience Camp

Two weeks ago, Churchill and Morwell Year 10 students attended the Melbourne Experience Camp. The week was jam-packed with activities, including bowling, laser tag, ice skating, indoor rock climbing, a trip to the theatre to see ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ along with other activities, several shopping expeditions and plenty of good food. Students learnt how to manage the hectic public transport system and how to navigate their way around the CBD. Students and staff had a great time, and the weather was just perfect.

Year 9-10 Concept Art Dramatic Line Ink Drawings

Year 9 and 10 students have been learning to upscale their designs and use liquid ink to paint an artwork on a significantly large scale. They have spent over 5 weeks working on filling an entire sheet of A1 sized paper with patterns made up of a variety of different types of lines with black sections to balance the details. Students have chosen a main object to surround with patterns and add just a touch of colour to create emphasis in a black and white piece.
