Sustainability

A big thank you to the families who supported the E-Shop stall at the Art Expo. It was wonderful to see our sustainability and green gang students serve on the stall; dealing with customers and managing money. We raised $657. This money will go towards new garden projects at school.

Well done to Layla and Kye K, our sustainability leaders and Charlotte and Kye D, of the green gang, for their welcome address and information talks last Friday. These students presented information about our Bible and Aboriginal gardens to our visitors from Mazenod. “Knowledge shared is knowledge gained."

Over the summer holidays, if your family goes to the beach, can you please collect any discarded plastics you find on the beach and bring it in to school at the start of the year. The plastic rubbish will be repurposed by our sustainability students who have been invited to participate in the Liz Walker exhibition/ instillation at Point Nepean National Park, in the Foul Luggage Room, in February 2023. This exhibition has been funded by a Mornington Peninsula Shire Creative Community Grant. I will organised a box for the collected plastic in the coming weeks.
