Farewell to our Year 12s
Tuesday was a significant day in the St Augustine’s calendar. After 13 years of schooling (and an unexpected postponement due to the flooding events) the Year 12 students farewelled the school, with many smiles and a few tears. The Year 12’s final day started with the parade of colourful costumes and themes, including the Flintstones, the gang from Scooby Doo, the whole toy box from Toy Story, Shrek and Fiona, Fight Club, Squid Games, Incredibles, a Pirate and some Cars, Step Brothers, Alice in Wonderland and the starting grid from Mario Cart.
The final TA session saw many smiles and tears as memories were shared in a moving and reflective liturgy, led by Ms Morrissey. The entire school shared in the students’ final assembly, with a farewell video from the Year 12s providing a combination of old and new memories, put together by the students, showing how far they have come from their beginnings as students through to their final day. After a final farewell, the Year 12s exited the BC for the last time, with the best wishes of the entire St Augustine’s community going with them.
The day was a credit to the students and a memorable celebration of the 2022 Year 12's time at St Augustine’s.
Last evening, the celebrations continued with the Year 12 Graduation Mass and Dinner held at Radcliffe’s in Echuca. It was wonderful to see the students looking glamorous in their formal attire and celebrating the evening with the significant people in their lives. It has certainly been a big week of celebrations.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish our graduating class of 2022 all the best as they pursue their chosen pathways.
