                           News from Grade 4

The Gr 4 students are learning how to flip, slide and rotate shapes and what that looks like in Maths.

During Cross Curriculum, the Gr 4 students are studying a unit called First Contact, which has led them to revisit Dreamtime stories. 

The students tell me they love listening to them!

                         Grade 5/6 News

This fortnight in the grade 5/6 class we have been learning about 3D shapes, how they are constructed and how to calculate the surface area of each shape. We are very proud of the shape posters we have made and enjoyed sharing them during assembly. In maths we have also been looking at rounding numbers that are in the millions, we have enjoyed learning this through playing rounding snowball!

Last week we were lucky enough to have a visitor from responsible pet ownership teach us about how to approach a dog and what to do if a dog might be angry or upset.
