Melbourne Museum 3/4 excursion

Yesterday's 3/4s excursion at the Melbourne Museum was so much fun!
Yesterday, our Grade 3/4 students went to the Melbourne Museum to further explore their learning relating to the inquiry unit ‘Where we are in space and time’. Students enjoyed observing and interacting with the different exhibits. Here are a few student recounts from the day:
“My favourite exhibition was the forest gallery because it had a lot of mini, tiny animals such as the blue tongue lizard, spiders, stick insects, mice and many more amazing animals. One thing I liked was how tall the trees were. When I was admiring them, my eye caught a green bird. It was blending in with the trees. What amazing animals!”

“Today we went to the Melbourne Museum. Everyone was so excited. We visited 7 exhibitions. My favourite one is Dynamic Earth because I loved the diamonds and minerals. All the exhibitions were awesome. The Melbourne Story was great for our inquiry project ‘Where we are in space and time’. The Forest Gallery was about nature and animals. It’s cool how it’s like a zoo. Triceratops Exhibition taught me more about dinosaur body parts and bones.”

“My highlights were going to the Melbourne Story because we got to look in the olden days and we’ve been recently working on that! I also really liked the triceratops exhibition because we got to see their mouth, legs, arms and tail up close on the screen and we got to see cool videos.”
