Family Engagement in Learning

Bridget O'Connor- Family Engagement Leader

Hello Trinity Families,

Welcome back to Term 3!

The start of a new term is always exciting because of new learning and opportunities to start fresh.  One way to keep your child engaged in their new learning is to lean into those topics at home and find ways to learn about them together. When children know that their adults are aware of what they are learning at school the learning doesn't stop at the end of the school day. For example, the 5/6 students are embarking on an Inquiry and RE unit on 'Discovery'. These are some things you could ask your child at home:

"What does discovery mean?"

"What does discovery look like in Science and Religion?"

"What words do you associate with discovery?'"

Another way to engage in your childs units is to find free acitivities in our area that could link to their learning.  Here are some things that I have found but if you know of any after school activities that are fun, free and engaging please let me know!

Have a great week!
