'Who we are'

 ​Central Idea

Different cultures are influenced by many factors. 

As an International Baccalaureate world school, authorised to teach the Primary Year’s Programme, we explore six transdisciplinary themes each year. 

As part of the ‘Who we are’ unit of inquiry the Year 6 students make connections between their own traditions and experiences and those of different cultures. They made links between their own customs, values, ritual celebrations and lifestyles and those of other countries.

Action

Action in the PYP is initiated independently by the student as a result of the learning process. We celebrate our students’ ACTION every day in our classrooms. Year 6 students have the opportunity to demonstrate action every day in our classrooms. If you see your children taking independent action at home encourage them to share their action with their teachers and peers.
