VCE MEDIA NIGHT 2023

Our VCE Media students have been working incredibly hard throughout Term 3, creating various original media artworks. 

The Year 11s have recently been working in small groups to create short films and movie posters in different genres ranging all the way from thrillers to comedies. This task has seen them creating entirely original stories, writing screenplays from scratch, and independently photographing, filming, and editing their unique artworks. 

The Year 12 students have been working tirelessly on their individual productions all year and are finally approaching the last stages of post-production. They have been endlessly planning, capturing footage, and editing, adopting the roles of writer, director, cinematographer, producer, and sometimes even actor, to produce their final Year 12 pieces. 

Our outstanding VCE Media students have demonstrated infinite passion, talent, creativity and commitment in 2023, and now it is time to celebrate their excellent efforts and outstanding work. 

If you would like to get a little glimpse of what our VCE media students have been up to recently, McKinnon Secondary will be hosting a VCE Media Night on Thursday 5 October. The evening will run from 5:00-7:00pm in the Lecture Theatre, where we will be showcasing a number of Year 11 and 12 productions, and there will even be some special prizes for outstanding work. 

Please join us on Thursday 5 October to celebrate the wonderful creativity and talent of our VCE Media students. More information will be shared via Compass soon!

Who knows, the next Steven Spielberg may even be in our midst… We hope to see you there!
