Sayembara Lisan

On Thursday May 18th, 20 Middle and Senior students participated in the first round of assessments in Sayembara Lisan (Indonesian Speaking Competition). Bu Rose, from Antonio Park PS, came and did our first-round assessments.

Students were assessed on their ability to uphold a basic conversation.  In addition, Middle students needed to recite a poem and Senior students needed to answer questions about familiar classroom objects.  All the students who participated worked very hard, practising in the Indonesian classroom a couple of times per week to really become confident with their speaking skills.

Today I hosted an appreciation morning tea for all 20 participants. I appreciate all the hard work they put into their practice sessions and assessment. Bu Tait, Bu Browning and Bu Breen were also in attendance.
