Just a friendly reminder for students who borrowed a uniform for either District Cross Country or the Senior Gala Day, to please return it to Mrs. Yorke or Mr. Lewis so they can be audited and redistributed for upcoming events in early Term 3.

Downball Australia

In the last week of Term 2, Downball Australia will be providing free workshops during PE lessons for years 1-6. The event is on compass and requires families to consent.

PRIDE DAY NEXT THURSDAY

In the spirit of acknowledging the diverse community that we live, work, and play in, next Thursday the 15th of June, CHPS will celebrate our annual Pride Day. The theme is ‘Proud to be Me’, providing students with an opportunity to reflect on what makes us all special and unique, and what traits, qualities, and achievements people can be proud of and acknowledge in others. Students are invited to dress up with a ‘splash of colour’. Please see your weekly level Compass post for more information on the lessons that will be covered in each level.

Year 4 Production, June 19th & 20th

From Sophie in Sickbay

There has been a lot of chat recently about RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus), which can be dangerous for younger children.  This virus is one of the most frequent causes of the common cold, but can also cause serious infection in the lungs and lead to pneumonia and severe respiratory infections.

The rapid onset of wintry weather in recent weeks means there are a number of nasty flus and colds around, not to mention the high prevalence of Covid still in the community.  Please be aware of the risks and if your child is showing any symptoms, please keep them home to stop the spread of infection.

A reminder and recommendation for flu shots if your family hasn't already had them - this year's flu is hitting children particularly hard.
