Term 2 Sports Canteen Wrap-up and Thank you

The sports canteens have taken around $50,000.00 in revenue across Term 2. This is a very strong result, and could not have happened without the weekly commitment of each of the parent volunteer year group coordinators and sports canteen volunteers. We had 104 different people volunteer across the term. This represents at least one hour in the canteen from an estimated 10-20% of the number of parents and carers with a son playing sport in Term 2. We hope to see this uptake increase in Term 3 - one hour in the canteen for every family with a son playing sport is all it takes to maintain our position as the best canteens in the AIC!

Profits from the sports canteens go towards improvements to the school that provide broad and immediate impact. The use of funds will be a discussion point at the Term 3 P&F meeting - scheduled for Monday 7 August. Come along and have your say, or email your suggestions to secretarypandf@marash.qld.edu.au.
