STAFF UPDATES

Saints has been most fortunate to secure some very good staff to cover or replace those on maternity leave, retirement, and long-service leave. 

Michelle Power joins us as Learning Support Officer. Mrs Power is enthusiastic about learning enrichment and shows a passion for supporting students in this area.

Lilah McInnes also joins us as a Learning Support Officer. Miss McInnes was most recently a teacher aide at Northern Peninsula Area State College, Bamaga and has moved to Cairns to commence an education degree.

Tobey Van Waardenberg joins us as a Learning Support teacher. Mrs Van Waardenberg has a strong background in inclusive education, particularly for boys. She is excited to have an opportunity to work in a boys college and use these skills.

Rachael Tranter has been appointed for Semester 2 to cover maternity leave in the Science Department. Mrs Tranter’s wealth of knowledge and experience as a former Head of Department in this area will certainly be welcomed.

Gavin Slatcher joins us as a Design and Technologies Assistant for Semester 2. Mr Slatcher’s background is in boiler making, and he is also studying for an education degree.
