Cricket Mascot Challenge

Last Friday, Cricket Victoria and the Melbourne Stars came into school to celebrate the Cricket Mascot Challenge which all students in Prep, Grade 1 and Grade 2 take part in at Resurrection school.  Through the program children practice their throwing, bouncing and catching skills while having fun and games with their class.  All the children get their own ball to practice with and then keep at the end of the program as well as a certificate and stickers to celebrate their achievements.

On Friday Starman, local cricket club representatives and coaches from Cricket Victoria came to visit us, giving out fruit, hats, flags and other merchandise to all the children for all their hard work in the program.  It was a great morning for the children, their parents and staff.

We need more items for Play/Build Club

Play and build club is still going strong - seeing lots of children in Years 1 and 2 come to use the natural and loose play equipment we have on offer.  We now have a Mud kitchen which the children love to play with.   BUT WE NEED MORE!

We are in desperate need of more items to help our children thrive in this club.  If you have any items at home that you could donate to the club please bring it in to our school office. Things such as:

Planks of wood

Unbroken pipes

Buckets and spades

Pots and pans

Baking trays

Kitchen untensils

Thank you
