What a great way to finish off the term having the Big Freeze on our front oval. It was fantastic to have all of our students together supporting such a worthy cause on what was an already freezing day. We would like to thank the SRC and staff that were involved in organising the event, and also all of the students and staff that put their hand up to get dunked to raise much needed money for the cause.

It has been a very busy end of term with Year 10-12 exams and the GAT, as well as the Tertiary Trip to Adelaide. We would like to thank Laura Caruana, Ziang Gao and Kym Woolley for providing this opportunity for our Year 11 and 12 students to experience the Universities in Adelaide.

The Year 10’s have been participating in their Discovery Week, which has included talks with UniSA, SuniTafe, the Trade Training Centre, Latrobe Uni and Victoria Police. Students also had an excursion to GTS Freight and Lower Murray Water. Big thanks to Julia Lewis and Brad Vallance for organising the week and the companies for making this opportunity possible. This is a great start for our Year 10’s who will now be looking at course selection heading into Year 11 in 2024. The Course Counselling night for parents and students will be held on Tuesday the 18th of July, which is week 2 of next term. More information about this process will be communicated to the families involved.

The first Monday back of Term 3 will be a student free day, as staff will be participating in a Professional Practice Day. Therefore, no students will be able to be on site on Monday the 10th of July, students will start Term 3 on Tuesday the 11th of July, 2023.

Also, during our first week back of term we will be having our NAIDOC week celebrations. This will include a guest speaker, some games and competitions at lunch time, rock painting and will finish the week with a casual dress day to prepare for a creative photo opportunity. More information about the week will be sent out on our socials and will be communicated again when we return from holidays.
