ELC Graduation

ELC Graduation

The English Language Centre students have had a jam-packed first semester at Cheltenham.

From intensive learning, to excursions, to peer teaching, they have thrown themselves into everything with a positive attitude and a great willingness to learn.

On my first day in the ELC class I am so excited and a little bit nervous because it is my first time studying in another country. And I am very excited about what my new friends look like. - Freddy

There are a lot of differences between Australian schools and in my country’s schools. In my country's school, you can't bring a computer or mobile phone into the campus, and you have to stay in school for more than 12 hours in high school, and there are a lot of homework that you need to complete after class. In Australian schools, you need to use it every day. It is more relaxed and pleasant to use a computer and not have a lot of homework. - Molly

When I started at CSC, I felt very nervous. I worried about my classmates and the new environment, because it’s my first time to study in an Australian high school. My English was so bad, I couldn't understand most of it, but now, my English level got improved a lot, I feel very appreciate. - Dylan

One of my favourite memories from ELC is the Welcome lunch for new International and ELC students. We were very happy and shy. We spent a few lessons in advance setting up for this lunch, and we cleaned up the room after lunch. - Cammier

We went to Funky Farm to see various animals such as small crocodiles, lizards, and parrots. The bad thing was that it was raining and it was cold. There is a kind of koala hugging the tree, as if shaking. We went to see the peacock, but unfortunately we didn't see the peacock. The principal drove us by it. School uniform is very warm to wear, and I learned to laugh when I went back. The memory of going to Funky Farm is really fresh. - Lin
