Cancellation of City of Whittlesea events

Dear All

This is just to let you know that the City of Whittlesea has made the decision to cancel all non-essential events and gatherings for the foreseeable future to help stop the spread of coronavirus (COVD-19).

This includes all events, activities and programs of any size effective tomorrow, Wednesday 18 March.

Council has chosen not to proceed with its own events and has asked community groups operating in the City to do the same in the interest of public safety and community reassurance.

Council asks that all residents, businesses and visitors to the City continue following advice from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) on hygiene and safety practices to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
