What's happening in RTL?

Right now the year seven students are working on all sorts of things, but the three basic things that we are all doing are small group projects, community partnerships, and mystery missions.

We are having lots of fun and we would like to give a big thanks to Maria, Shenay and Curstin. You helped us so much!

Small group projects

The small group projects are fun projects and you work in small groups. There's currently a new garden being built thanks to the people who are working on the garden (Oliver, Josh). There's Relay for Life, the cancer donation that a lot of people are helping out in. Another project is a 3D club where people can learn how to print 3D and so much more!

If people aren't interested in the options given they can make a small group project and have some friends join them in the project.

The community partnership is when a year seven student goes off into the community and help out small businesses and help out other. There's senior techies, that's when a couple of students go to a senior home and teach seniors how to use modern technology, there's also Mornington primary assistance where students go to primary school to help out the teachers, there's so much more to do. If people didn't like the options they could make their own with the permission of the business.

Mystery Mission

A mystery mission is something you are interested in, but there are so many questions yet to discover about it. So our job is to find a possible answer to the questions. There are a few option, and yet again if there is nothing interesting you can make your own mystery mission. There's art media, history, language arts, technology, and so much more. There are so many questions about those topics yet to discover so all the year sevens explore the internet, explorer close areas and so much more.

Recent activities

Recently we watched the movie lord of the flies and discussed about the societies and what happened in the movie. After that we made a debate about lord of the flies. We won't write anything else about that because they will be spoilers about the movie.

We also did a project about countries. We all chose a country to study. Lots of people worked in groups. We presented our countries to our class and some had objects or food from the country.

Finally, the last thing we've done recently was tournament of the minds. We did a performance about famous people from history and one would be removed from history and what impact that would make on history.

Overall report

We are all enjoying Real Time Learning. There is so much to do and there is a lot a exciting games and a chance to do our own work. We get a chance to do something we enjoy and we are good at. Which is awesome! So that's what is happening in Real Time Learning. Hope you liked our report.
