Our last Hot Food Day (HFD) of the year

Thanks to everyone who participated in last Tuesday’s final HFD of the year. Feedback indicates the kids were all well fed and the volunteers worked hard to get everything done and the orders out. Thanks to Tina Papas, Mary Lombardozzi (who made the beef schnitzel fresh for the kids!), Chris Insana and Bec Archibald for making it happen. 2016 St Fidelis Art Show

Don’t forget this year’s Art Show takes place this coming Thursday. The kids have been working diligently on their art projects throughout the year and love to try and find them with their friends and family in the art show ‘gallery’. After you’ve worked up your thirst and appetite, the P&F is offering a sausage sizzle with cold drinks for the kids and sparkling wine and coffee and tea for the adults. Costs are:

$2.50 sausage in bread/$3 with onions
$1.50/bottled water or juice box
$4/sparkling wine
$2/coffee or tea.

There will also be a raffle; tickets will be on sale on the night for $1 each.

Volunteers are still needed to help set up the artwork on the following days/times:

Thanks to those who have agreed to help so far. We've all got kids and other responsibilities to juggle, so we understand what it takes to go that extra mile, and appreciate your support.

Tomorrow: Tuesday 25th October

Display day: 9-3pm

Miss Archibald will be in the hall all day setting up so this is when the bulk of the artwork will be displayed. Note: Display equipment (pins, etc) and direction on how to set up the different art pieces will be provided.

Wednesday 26th October

Display day: Anytime

Any artwork not yet displayed should be finished today. Miss Archibald will be in classes but can be called on during recess and lunch if needed.

Wednesday 2nd November

Display board tear down: 8.30am until the boards are picked up by the supplier

Help is needed to take the artwork down before the boards get picked up at 10am.

*Remember to sign in at the front office so they have a record of you being in the building (in case of emergency).

2016 AGM and P&F Executive election

Nominations should be received by Friday October 28th.

The current P&F Executive is stepping down this year as our two-year appointments finish at the end of 2016, and it’s time for some new ideas to reinvigorate the P&F. If you think you’ve got what it takes, we are looking for people to take on the roles of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer and Secretary (currently a shared position) for the years 2017-18.

Elections will take place at our Annual General Meeting on Friday 4th November following our regular meeting at 9.30am in the Father Fitzpatrick Room (after the school assembly).

The P&F is looking for new second-hand uniform coordinators

Sadly, Milica Hubik and Claire Ciarnello won’t be coordinating our second-hand uniform sales from next year. Please let us know if you are willing and able to take over this role; doing it with a friend like Milica and Claire did makes it an easier and more enjoyable experience, so consider asking a friend to share the role with you. In the meantime, please join me on behalf of the St Fidelis community in thanking Milica and Claire for all of the time and effort they have put in to help us recycle and reuse our childrens’ uniforms, save us some of our hard-earned cash and raise funds for the P&F.
