KCC Chamber Ensemble

The KCC Chamber Ensemble, including Anabelle Banks on clarinet, Will Bowering on violin, Stephanie Chan and Emily Nightingale on keyboard and myself on cello, performed to guests attending a wedding reception at “Food I Am” last Saturday 11th of March. The venue is located on the top of a hill and offers unobstructed views to the North and West. Against this backdrop, we entertained guests while they feasted on an incredible array of creatively crafted canapes made by local chef and regular relief teacher at KCC James Vickers.

The aim of this experience was to introduce the students to a world of opportunities open to talented musicians who work hard and develop a high level of skill playing solo and in ensembles. An ability to perform in a range of styles is highly valued when appealing to the varying tastes of audiences. Chamber ensembles are often sought after to play at weddings, charity events and functions. These opportunities are very rewarding and give aspiring musicians invaluable performance experience.

From the father of the bride; “thanks SO much for being part of a brilliant day and making it so perfect for us”. Congratulations and job well done!
