Year 10 PASS Excursion

After five and a half hours we arrived at the Broulee caravan park at around 3:30pm, A big thanks to Brett Allen for getting us there safely. It was a two night stay with a couple of early starts.

The first thing we did was, setup our tents then proceeded to have a quick dip in the surf at North Broulee beach.

The Year 10 PASS classes engaged learning skills about water safety practices. Everyone enjoyed themselves, the last of the sunny weather.

Over the following days we woke up to gushes of cold wind and rain yet this didn't deter the keen country kids from having a go in the surf. First lesson was to stand up and paddle on surfboards. Thanks to the experience of Tim and his team from Surf the Bay for guiding us in achieving our goals of getting up on our surfboards in a proficient manner. The Surf the Bay staff also introduced us to the stingrays and other natural wildlife on the south coast.

Overall this experience on the south coast at Broulee reinforced our learning of the key elements studied throughout our Bronze Medallion unit throughout this term.
