DIO Hockey Trials

On Thursday the 16th of March, the boys and girls hockey teams played in the Diocesan Hockey Carnival. The teams we played against were Mater Dei and Xavier High School. The boys started off with a win over Mater Dei but went down to Xavier. The girls played after lunch but unfortunately did not win either game. Both teams should be congratulated on their sportsmanship and team work. For teams largely made up of beginners it was an excellent effort. A big thank you to our leaders in the boys Tim Banks, Blake Robertson and Logan Wilford and Jemma Knowles, Emily Nightingale, Maggie Lawrence and Georgie Stephens in the girls. Also thank you to Logan Wilford and Connor Higgins for umpiring for most of the day.
