Animal Dissection

The Young Einsteins had their first dissection. Michael, Olivia and Lara shared their experience:

Today, the 21st of June, the Young Einsteins dissected a heart and brain of a sheep. I liked dissecting the heart, because it was big and had more parts to touch. It was awesome to have parents come in and help dissect the sheep’s organs.  I learnt that your heart is about the same size as my closed fist. The sheep’s heart was bigger than its brain, not like ours. Our brain is bigger than our heart.

The sheep’s heart feels tough and hard. On the outside, you can see the veins. They go down to the middle of the heart. It is a lot larger than the sheep’s brain.

Today the Young Einstein’s went to the Middle Years. When we got there we were nervous because we were about to witness the two most disgusting things on Earth. It was a sheep brain and a sheep heart. At first, I was petrified but I got used to it. It was fun.
