Colour Run

The Marlborough Primary School Colour Fun Run took place on Friday 15th November it was set to be an awesome afternoon with plenty of colour, lots of enthusiasm and a massive banner which threatened to blow away on a few occasions.

A very big thank you to Jane and the Marlborough running team for the 2 warm ups that got the kids super excited for the run and set the mood for the rest of the afternoon. It was also great to see Jackson Taylor pop in wearing a white t-shirt ready to be covered in colour.

A very big thank you to all of the parents, family members and students who volunteered to help on the day and also to run the colour stations, squirt the water guns and spray the kids as they ran past, some parents even managed to find themselves just as colourful as their kids.

It was great to see so many family and friends come down and watch the students participate in such a fantastic and colourful day.  A very big thank you and congratulations goes to all the students who raised an amazing amount of money.

The top 4 student fundraisers were: -

  • Teo M
  • Tayeb L
  • Annabelle V
  • Joshua R

The class that raised the most amount of money was very close with Prep A just beating 2/3A -  what an amazing job. Prep A were awarded with a delicious hamper to be used for a movie afternoon in the last week of school. This was a double prize as Prep A also won Silver September.

Overall the students did a fabulous job of raising over $7,500 which will go towards the new playgrounds. Having the added incentive of prizes and the digital fund raising platform, certainly helped to motivate the students and raise more money but this will also come out of the overall profit made.

All students will receive a participation certificate and prizes should arrive within the next 2 weeks.
