School Happenings

Band visits Weeroona

On November 8 the school band and three students from Year 10 performed for the residents at the Weeroona Nursing Home.  They were entertained with the upbeat numbers of La Bamba, Tequila, Happy and two slower numbers James Bond Theme and Wonderful World.  Two ballads were also performed Hallelujah and Someone Like You.  After the performance the students mingled with the residents. 

It was a great showcase and everyone had an enjoyable afternoon.  Thank you to Weeroona for making us so welcome.  We look forward to our next visit.  Thank you to Mr Hughes, Miss Burrell and Ms O'Dea.

Pink Ribbon Fundraising

Tuesday was Mufti Day for Cowra High raising money for the Pink Ribbon Day for the Cancer Council.  The school raised $514.55 on the day.  A fantastic effort by everyone!
