Year 12 Reflection Day
The Year 12 Truganini students gathered as a group to reflect upon their time at the college over their senior years. Time was also spent sharing key memories and talking about experiences that education has provided them over their respective journeys through primary and junior secondary school. The Year 12’s showed their creative skills by completing their work of two years - their crosses. It was pleasing to witness the great efforts that students went to in order to complete their crosses as trues reflections of themselves and their learning journeys. Year 12 students mingled and enjoyed the company of their peers and their teachers. A pizza lunch was shared before all gathered in the Mercy Centre to pray a final liturgy together. Each student was presented with a candle that acts as a reminder to go forth in the spirit of Truganini to bring live out the values that she lived: Justice, Empowerment and Reconciliation. The staff involved in teaching and mentoring the Year 12 students from Truganini sincerely wish each Year 12 the best for their exams and life beyond Catholic Regional College Sydenham.
